Simple Diet Plan Anyone Can Follow

Here is a short and simple diet plan that will improve your physical and mental health.

Step 1 - Have a balanced diet
  • Your body needs sufficient amount of Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Fiber and Micronutrients.

  • If your routine consists of low physical activity (which is mostly the case of this generation), decrease the amount of carbohydrates in your diet by 50% and increase the consumption of salads, veggies and soup by 50%.

  • You can replace grains with millets.

Step 2 - Drink adequate water
  • Average requirement of water for a healthy adult is 3L per day.

  • Set reminders to drink water by keeping 3 transparent water bottles in your sight.

  • Build a habit of drinking water.

Step 3 - Eat 2 local & seasonal fruits everyday
  • Buy fruits and keep them in your sight, not inside a refrigerator. Here, the gist is to have fresh fruits everyday.

  • Say “No” to random snacking. If you feel to have a snack, first have water. If you still feel hungry, then you can eat a fruit.

Step 4 - Check your Vitamin D3 & B12 levels
  • Do at least one blood test every year on your birthday.

  • If you have low vitamin D3, get “Sunlight” not the heat, in the morning or evening. If the deficiency is severely low, consult a doctor.

  • Curry leaves and dairy products are an excellent source of natural nutrients including vitamin B12. Again, if the deficiency is severly low, consult a doctor.

Step 5 - Order of having food
  • Begin your day by having salad/nuts/seeds.

  • Then followed by sprouts/salads.

  • Then followed by the actual meal.

Step 6 - Exercise
  • Build a habit of doing exercise regularly.

  • Proper exercise will automatically improve your diet.
